The Department of Economics in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for two Instructor of Economics positions. The top candidates will be teaching specialists and have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence in economics courses and a passion for undergraduate teaching. The initial appointment will be up to three years with a renewable term. The Department has a history of welcoming and valuing long-term instructors. The expected teaching load is six semester courses per year. Review of applications will begin on November 30, 2020 and remote interviews will be conducted in early January.

The Department recognizes that our effectiveness and creativity are strengthened by contributions from a broad range of perspectives. As such, we particularly welcome candidates from groups that are historically underrepresented in our field and/or have demonstrated leadership toward building an equitable and inclusive scholarly environment.

The appointment will begin in August 2021. Applicants must have a PhD in Economics or a comparable field by the time of the appointment.
