The Department of Economics, Agriculture, and Social Sciences invites applicants for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level beginning August 2021. The person will be expected to teach Principles of Macroeconomics, Principles of Microeconomics, and some combination of the following: Intermediate Microeconomics, Commodity Futures, Ag Markets and Pricing, Economics and Agriculture, and Agriculture Property Appraisal. These courses are part of the Economics major and the Agriculture major. Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in Economics, Agricultural Economics or a related field at the time of appointment. Prior college teaching experience, experience or training with online and hybrid pedagogies, and experience or training with experiential learning pedagogies are preferred. A complete application is required and must include: an application letter, specifically addressing courses the candidate is most qualified to teach and research interests, statement of teaching philosophy, evidence of teaching proficiency, job market paper, professional curriculum vitae, including the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of three references, unofficial photocopies of graduate transcripts.
