The Else School of Management at Millsaps College invites applications for a one-year visiting position beginning on August 1, 2021. Applicants should hold or be near completion of a Ph.D. in economics. Applicants with a master’s in economics and relevant work experience will also be considered. Instructional needs include principles of economics, intermediate macroeconomics and international economics, all intended for an undergraduate audience in a face-to-face format. Some experience with remote learning is preferred.

The Else School of Management supports teaching, service and research goals by maintaining a balanced faculty load commensurate with expectations of excellence in teaching and research. The undergraduate and graduate programs have gained a distinction through the faculty’s commitment to quality teaching and research, experiential learning, international emphasis, and close student-faculty involvement. The programs of the Else School have been recognized by CEO Magazine, Forbes, New European Economy and the Princeton Review.

Located in Jackson, the commercial, governmental and cultural center of Mississippi, Millsaps is a selective nationally recognized liberal arts college with both AACSB International accreditation and a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. The Else School of Management offers majors in economics, business administration and accounting and maintains high-quality programs by keeping classes small to support a student-centered participative learning environment. The normal teaching load for a visiting faculty member is six courses per year. Salary is competitive.
