The Economics Department at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor with a required primary field in Behavioral Economics to start in August 2021. Seeking candidates with experience in designing experiments. An earned PhD in Economics, or ABD in Economics with expected completion date by August 2021, is required. Candidates must have demonstrated evidence of research in the primary field of Behavioral Economics and a demonstrated record of excellent teaching. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

The Department offers B.S. and B.A. degrees in economics and offers courses for a number of graduate programs on campus. The teaching load is nine hours per semester and will include courses in behavioral economics, principles classes, and developing upper-division courses in other fields. Duties will also include committee work and advising, mentoring, and recruiting majors and minors for the Economics Department. Demonstrated commitment to diversity in the educational community is required.
