The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has openings for a senior advisor position within the Economics Department. The senior advisor will work collaboratively with the Senior Deputy Comptroller of Economics in fostering engagement with external and internal OCC stakeholders, maintaining an active research agenda that can be published in high quality refereed journals, as well as developing and directing various research working groups relevant to OCC priorities.

The OCC charters, regulates and supervises all national banks and thrift institutions and the federally licensed branches and agencies of foreign banks in the US. The Economics Department has over 100 PhD, master’s, and bachelor’s degree economists. The Department provides economic analysis to stakeholders on supervisory and policy related matters, presents economic analysis on current banking conditions, and produces publishable research related to banking and finance.
