The Department of Economics in the Tippie College of Business at The University of Iowa invites applicants for tenure-track positions starting August 18, 2021. We are particularly interested in innovative scholars at the Assistant level. We are excited to consider candidates in all fields in Applied Microeconomics.

A successful candidate will contribute to vibrant and expanding programs at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a consistent record of positive classroom teaching; supervise doctoral research; and demonstrate potential for outstanding records of excellence in published scholarly research.

Requirements:
An earned doctorate or strong evidence that the doctoral degree will be completed before August 18, 2021 in Economics or closely related field is required.

Demonstrated ability to do high quality research is required.

A demonstrated potential for publishing significant research in top-tier journals.

Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrated success working with diverse groups of students is highly desirable.

Demonstrated success in teaching is desirable.
