Based at Krea University and in collaboration with Yale’s Economic Growth Center and MacMillan Center, our India-based research initiative is accepting applications for one or more Postdoctoral Research Fellows in economics and public policy. Candidates with interest in political economy, environmental economics, gender and labor, or household economics are encouraged to apply, although we welcome applicants with broader interests. Applicants should have a PhD in economics, public policy, or related field by mid-2021, with advanced quantitative coursework and strong academic performance. Applicants should also possess a solid understanding of research design and have experience with data collection and fieldwork.

Fellow(s) will support a portfolio of projects with a particular focus area (governance/political economy, environmental economics, gender and labor/household economics). The position will offer the candidate first-hand experience conducting empirical research at the forefront of economic research and public policy. Responsibilities within the project portfolio include supporting research design and implementation, overseeing data collection and analysis, interacting with stakeholders, and managing research and project staff.

This position is based in Delhi, India, with frequent travel throughout the country (when Covid-19 restrictions are lifted). This is a one-year position with possibility of extension.
