Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Department of Economics and Business of the Universidad de Montevideo (https://um.edu.uy/facultad-de-ciencias-empresariales-y-economia) invites applications for a full-time position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level.
Preference will be given to candidates in the fields of Macroeconomics and Finance, with a focus on big data and data science. The appointment will start in August 2021.
Applicants at the Assistant Professor level should have - or be close to completing - a Ph.D. and will have demonstrated strong potential in research and teaching. Assistant Professors with two or three years of experience are also encouraged to apply. Candidates for Associate Professor must have an established record of excellence in research and teaching.
Knowledge of Spanish is preferred but not required. Responsibilities include teaching and productivity in research.
Interviews will be scheduled in mid-December 2020 and candidates will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
