The Department of Computer Science at North Dakota State University (NDSU) invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. We seek candidates with expertise in policy analysis of cybersecurity issues, with a research agenda focused on advancing understanding in ways to promote technological innovation while ensuring security. The normal teaching load is three courses per year (with one course release in the first year), and it is expected that the primary teaching area of the successful candidate will be in cybersecurity policy. The position offers a competitive salary and benefit package, and additional funds for summer salary and graduate student support may be available.
The Tenure home will be in the Department of Computer Science. However, this position will also be affiliated with the Challey Institute for Global Innovation & Growth. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the Institute’s mission, specifically advancing understanding of the interactions between policy, data security, privacy, innovation, and ways that cybersecurity policies can enhance economic opportunity and encourage innovation & entrepreneurship.
