The Department of Healthcare Policy & Research at Weill Cornell Medicine is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate with an interest in conducting comparative economic evaluations of substance use disorder interventions alongside clinical trials and cohort studies in multiple settings.
We are seeking an economic researcher who will work on multiple projects aimed at addressing the opioid crisis and improving substance use disorder treatment under the direction of Sean Murphy, PhD, and Bruce Schackman, PhD, MBA. The successful candidate will work as part of a team while taking a leading role in conducting economic analyses.
The position requires:
• Ph.D. in economics or a closely related field,
• experience in health-related research or evaluation work,
• strong written and oral communication skills,
• the ability to work well as part of a collaborative team, and
• a deep interest in substance use disorders and policy issues.
Applicants must currently hold a doctoral degree in a relevant area of study or will receive such a degree before start of employment. The position is located in New York City. Applicants must be willing to travel to research sites located in various locations around the United States. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
