Assistant Teaching Professor – Finance
University of Massachusetts Lowell
The Finance Department at the Robert J. Manning School of Business at the University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for a non-tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor to start in the Fall of 2020. The position is renewable annually, potentially leading to an appointment of Associate Teaching Professor following five consecutive years of excellent performance evaluations.
Job duties include (but not limited to):
• Teaching assigned finance courses during the academic year
• Ensure the operational status of Trading Room features and coordinate use of Bloomberg software with university IT staff.
• Resolve any technical issues with Bloomberg support and other data vendors
• Organize training sessions on basic Bloomberg functionality and certifications
• Ensure lab security, monitoring, and compliance with the University's acceptable use policy
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
• Master's degree in finance or MBA with a finance concentration from an AACSB accredited school (must have a degree by the time of appointment)
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups
• A record of high-quality teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate degree levels
