The Harris School of Public Policy invites applications for a Full-Time Lecturer for the 2020-2021 academic year to expand its course offerings in data science, data visualization, programming, and civic technology. The position will be a two-year, renewable appointment. The Lecturer will teach four to six courses per academic year, depending on non-classroom responsibilities.

Specific course offerings can be tailored to the strengths of well-qualified applicants, with the possibility for highly-specialized electives. Possible courses include: Introduction to Programming, Data Visualization for Policy Analysis, Big Data and Policy Research, Civic Technology, and/or Data Privacy and Ethics in Governance. Applications will be evaluated on their expertise in using data and technology for social impact, as well as their teaching/instruction experience. Qualified candidates will hold a Masters degree and have relevant field experience, or hold a PhD in a related field.
