Description
The Economics Department at the State University of New York at Purchase invites applications for a tenure track position as Assistant Professor of Economics. Responsibilities include: teaching courses in principles of economics, elective courses in the candidate's field of expertise, and a research methods or statistics course. Additionally, the Assistant Professor would oversee yearlong Senior Research Projects. Candidates who also have an interest in teaching Financial Economics and/or Money and Banking, Environmental Economics or International Economics may be preferred. The SUNY Purchase economics department serves more than 100 majors and minors in economics. We also support programs in Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and Arts Management. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to student success and general education. Evidence of teaching excellence and scholarship potential is required.

Ph.D. by August 2020 required
