Research Associate-Economics

Department of Accounting and Finance at Texas A&M University-San Antonio is seeking a Research Associate-Economics starting from Fall 2020. The associate will primarily support and advance a number of research projects from conceptualization through publication, formulate research methods and suggest options for improving quality, identify potential problems, recommend and implement solutions. Specific contributions will include econometric modeling, statistical programming, management and analysis of data.

Required Qualifications:
• Graduate degree in economics or related field.
• Advanced statistical and programming skills and managing large datasets.

Preferred Qualifications:
• PhD/ABD in economics.
• Preferred field: financial economics, applied econometrics.

This is a two-year position. Renewal will be contingent upon the performance evaluation of the first year. Salary for the position is $50,000 per year. The position is fully funded by the university and comes with a full benefits package. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
