Assistant, Associate or Full Professor – Statistics/Biostatistics
The Halicioglu Data Science Institute (HDSI) (https://hdsi.ucsd.edu/) and the Mathematics Department in the Division of Physical Sciences (http://math.ucsd.edu/) at University of California San Diego invite applications for a cross-campus hire of faculty positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. This search is open to all areas of Statistics, Biostatistics, and related fields. All positions are subject to availability of funding. Candidates will be expected to teach university students at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field prior to their first quarter of teaching, and a recognized program of excellence in both teaching and research. A successful candidate should have a well-articulated plan of contributing to programs that increase the access and success of underrepresented students and faculty in the sciences. We especially welcome candidates who have already participated in, contributed to, or created such programs, can articulate how this experience helped shape their plan, and who have a commitment to helping shape and expand the University’s diversity initiatives (http://diversity.ucsd.edu/).
