Position Summary:
The Department of Economics at Rollins College seeks applications from qualified candidates in the area of applied microeconomics for the position of tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics, beginning August 2020.

The department welcomes applications from candidates whose teaching interests focus on a combination of two or more fields in the areas of Labor, Income Distribution, Industrial Organization and/or Public Finance. The department is not seeking candidates with expertise in health economics at this time. A commitment to teach all traditional core courses including Statistics is a must. The department expects the ideal candidate to also be attracted to exploring alternative conceptual and ideological perspectives and to contribute to a pluralist economics department and evolving curriculum.

The Economics Department has had several retirements in the last three years. We are now in a position to recruit talented candidates committed to excellence in teaching and research who are enthusiastic to contribute to a dynamic department at a selective liberal arts institution which is committed to professional and career development. The teaching load is three courses a semester, including the core courses in the major, electives, general education courses, and, possibly, teaching in the evening program in the Hamilton Holt School. Candidates must have a PhD in Economics in hand or firmly expected by August 2020 and, demonstrate both excellence in teaching at the instructor level or above, as well as a record of scholarship.
