This position within the Academic Affairs division is responsible for the day-to-day management of the QR Center and QRA Program. The Associate Director will work with the Faculty Director to recruit, train, and supervise peer tutors; assess the efficacy of services provided; evaluate the performance of peer tutors; and serve as a resource for faculty. The Associate Director will be directly involved in helping the Faculty Director grow and shape the expanding QR Center by further developing innovative support programming. The Associate Director will also teach in a quantitative field.
Essential Functions:

Assist the Faculty Director with the following:
o recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising peer tutors and QRAs;
o assessing the efficacy of services;
o evaluating the performance of peer tutors;
o maintaining a library of reference materials for students and tutors;
o educating faculty on how to work with QRAs;
o and serving as a resource for faculty.

Support the college through teaching two courses per year in a quantitative field. Applicants who can teach courses in the calculus sequence and introductory statistics are especially encouraged to apply.
Manage public relations through maintaining the website and social media presence.
Organize faculty development workshops on QR skills or pedagogy.
Communicate with and participate in the broader QR community.
Offer group workshops on statistical and/or mathematical software programs, according to the expertise of the applicant.
