The Division of Health Policy in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship beginning summer/fall 2020.

The postdoctoral fellow will work with the Penn team contracted to conduct an independent evaluation of a Medicaid 1115 waiver demonstration project. Investigators leading the evaluation include Atheendar Venkataramani MD PhD, Genevieve Kanter PhD, and Kevin Volpp MD PhD.

The fellow will have an opportunity to apply quasi-experimental methods as part of the evaluation and work towards publishable research related to the evaluation.

Applicants should have knowledge of public insurance programs like Medicaid or Medicare, training in quasi-experimental empirical methods, and experience working with large datasets. Background in substance use disorders is a plus.

Applicants should have a PhD in economics, health policy, health services research, or a related discipline by summer 2020. US citizenship or permanent residency required.
