The School of Government and the Economics Department at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile invite applications for a joint full time interdisciplinary position as Assistant Professor, starting March 2020.

The candidate must have a PhD degree in social sciences (Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, Sociology or related fields) and must be able to teach at the School of Government and the Economics Department. Candidate must possess strong teaching skills, commitment to research excellence and high level of team spirit. The successful candidate will conduct interdisciplinary research, teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and contribute to public policy debate. Fluent Spanish is required after one year.

Applicants must submit a CV, teaching statement, relevant publications, official copy of graduate transcripts, two letters of recommendation, research statement indicating immediate and long-term research goals (collaboration networks with researchers in Chile and other countries).

The applicant will be contacted within two weeks after deadline. If this initial screening is successful, the candidate will be invited to give a job talk on her/his current research topics and hold interviews with faculty members from Selection Committee.
