Full Text of JOE Listing:

We invite applications for a faculty position in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the rank of Assistant Professor, tenure track. This position will provide expertise and leadership in research and extension programing with a focus on one or more of the following: agribusiness, production, labor, or regional economics. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent, externally funded, nationally recognized integrated research and extension program. Additional skills and experience in agricultural finance, optimization methods, econometrics, and agricultural policy are welcome. The position will contribute to the research (35%), extension (35%), and teaching (30%) missions of our department and is a full-time, nine-month tenure-track position. The successful applicant’s research and extension programs are expected to focus on one or more aspects of the agricultural value chain relevant to Connecticut and elsewhere. The individual filling this position will have the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary teams of research scientists, extension educators, and stakeholders. Scholarship and publication in peer-reviewed journals appropriate to the individual’s areas of expertise are required. Teaching responsibilities will include two courses annually and student advising.
