Position. The School of Education in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Delaware invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Higher Education Policy. The candidate should be an outstanding scholar whose work explores the longitudinal impact of policy on equity, access and persistence in post-secondary education. The primary appointment for this position will be in the School of Education, but may include a joint appointment in one of our collaborating schools/departments: Public Policy, Department of Economics, Sociology, and/or Political Science. The anticipated start date of this position is August 16, 2020.

Qualifications and Responsibilities. Doctoral degree in education, education policy, higher education, special education, economics, or a related social science field required. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of rigorous and innovative scholarship, and have secured, or demonstrated the potential to secure, external funding. Specific areas of focus may include but are not limited to the K-12 to college pipeline; issues of student access and persistence; the trajectories of historically underrepresented students, including first-generation students; and/or community, technical and for-profit colleges as well as four-year institutions. Responsibilities will also include teaching in our EdD in Educational Leadership. The candidate will have a demonstrated record of or potential for excellence in teaching.
