Danmarks Nationalbank, the central bank of Denmark, established in 2017 an independent research unit with the aim of conducting research in macroeconomics, finance and banking, to support Danmarks Nationalbank's policy decisions. Economists in the research unit are expected to produce high-quality research to be published in refereed journals and will benefit from an outstanding research environment, strong ties with the academic community, and integration with the policy workflow.Additional information: https://www.nationalbanken.dk/en/research/Pages/default.aspx.

Job Description: The Research Unit is especially interested in applicants able to exploit the extensive financial, household and firm microdata available in Denmark. Danmarks Nationalbank has recently established a Data Analytics division exploring innovative approaches to microdata analysis, and a Credit Register containing microdata on lending by Danish financial institutions to all types of debtors. Junior and Junior/Senior Applicants: We invite applications from candidates completing a PhD program in 2020 or with 1-3 year experience, focusing on macro-finance, banking, macroeconometrics. Senior/Experienced Applicants: We invite applications from experienced candidates in all areas of macroeconomics.

Job Qualifications: Ph.D. in economics or finance. For senior positions, a proven publication track record in top-tier professional journals, demonstrated leadership in research and experience with assessing policy challenges are expected. Knowledge of Danish is not required.
