Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU) is one of the earliest institutions of higher agricultural education in China and a national key university under the Chinese Ministry of Education. NAU is a 211 Project institution, and is also selected into the "Double First-Class" program. In the 4th round of the national first-level subjects assessment in 2017, seven disciplines were rated Grade A in NAU, including Agricultural Economics and Management, Public Management, Crop Science, Agricultural Resources and Environment, Plant Protection, Food Science and Engineering, Horticulture, among which, Agricultural Economics and Management and other three disciplines were rated as Grade A+. NAU was ranked the eleventh among all universities according to the number of Grade A+ disciplines. In order to strengthen the financial and accounting disciplines, in 2012, the Department of Finance and Accounting, which was originally affiliated to the College of Economics and Management, was established as College of Finance.

Teaching and research of finance and accounting in Nanjing Agricultural University has a long history. As early as the beginning of twentieth Century, the college began to engage in the investigation and research work of agricultural insurance. Being included in one of Grade A+ disciplines, College of Finance now offers PhD in finance, master of finance, master of accounting, professional master of finance, professional master of accounting, bachelor in finance, bachelor in accounting, and bachelor in investment, etc.

College of Finance at the Nanjing Agricultural University is seeking expressions of interest from leading finance and accounting academics seeking employment at all levels. Candidates must have the ability to conduct both independent and cooperative research, develop viable and productive research programs, and to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in a related discipline.
