Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department of Economics at Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics, Umeå University, is looking for two promising young researchers. Applicants must have obtained their PhD three years or less before the application deadline.

The department has a broad research tradition mainly in Public Economics and Environmental Economics. Our research in the former area includes optimal taxation, behavioral public economics, labor market and housing policy, and household responses to taxation and public expenditure, whereas research in the latter area includes environmental policy, energy economics, and green accounting.

The post-doctoral scholarships are financed by Tore Browaldh’s Foundation, Handelsbanken. The scholarship will support full time research activity and is limited to three years. A review of the research contribution after three years will then determine whether the scholarship is extended for an additional three years.
Starting Date: March 1, 2020, or later by agreement.

Furthermore, if you attend the ASSA meeting in San Diego, January 3-4, 2020, we will be very happy to meet with you virtually (skype) and discuss the Post-doc position during these days. Contact: Professor Thomas Aronsson, thomas.aronsson@umu.se.
