Moody’s Analytics: Content Solutions—Economics and Business Analytics

Moody’s Analytics’ Economics and Business Analytics unit seeks a macroeconomist to conduct economic research, forecasting, econometric modeling, analysis and presentations. This position will be based in Tokyo and candidates will be expected to have fluency in both Japanese and English. Responsibilities will focus on the economies of Japan and north Asia but will encompass aspects of global economic conditions, monetary policy and fiscal policy. Tasks will include research papers as well as brief and frequent commentary on our web sites. The person in this role will be our expert on the economy of Japan as well as other APAC countries and their metropolitan regions. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, Statistics or related field; additional experience is beneficial. Training in econometrics and knowledge of industry economics experience is required.

Must be a motivated, responsible person who can work well with others independently of daily supervision. Excellent writing, presentation and interpersonal skills. Must be able to lead a consulting project under direction of senior staff.
