The School of Economics seeks applicants with research interests in applied health topics and excellent microeconometrics skills. Candidates must have a clear research emphasis in health topics and should be able to contribute to complementary research areas such as development, environment, labor or urban and regional economics. We have a preference for individuals with particular strengths in causal inference and/or experience in big data methods. Research applications in the U.S. context are expected, although interests or experience working in other countries are also welcome.

The successful candidate will contribute to teaching health economics and other courses relevant to their expertise, as well as developing collaborative health economics research with faculty in the School of Economics, the Health Economics and Analytics Lab, and others at Georgia Tech.

Georgia Tech is a Research I institution, ranked 5th nationally among public universities, and offers significant opportunities for collaborative research and teaching across complementary disciplines such as computing, industrial and systems engineering, electrical and environmental engineering, international affairs, public policy, urban planning and management.

Applicants must have received a Ph.D. in economics or a related field prior to employment. More senior applicants should have a record of excellence in scholarship and teaching commensurate with their time in rank. Junior applicants should show promise for both research and teaching excellence.
