The School of Economics seeks applicants with interests in environmental and/or energy economics. Applicants must demonstrate excellent microeconometrics skills, have research interests that are synergistic with School of Economics faculty, and have experience or interest in working in an interdisciplinary context. Research areas at the nexus of urban/environment, energy/environment, or health/environment are particularly of interest, as is experience with advanced methods applied to big data.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach environmental and/or energy economics field courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and will play an integral role in the School’s PhD program.

Georgia Tech is a Research I institution, ranked 5th nationally among public universities, and offers significant opportunities for collaborative research and teaching across complementary disciplines such as computing, industrial and systems engineering, electrical and environmental engineering, international affairs, public policy, urban planning and management.

Applicants must have received a Ph.D. in economics or a related field prior to employment. More senior applicants should have a record of excellence in scholarship and teaching commensurate with their time in rank. Junior applicants should show promise for both research and teaching excellence.
