The Smith Institute for Political Economy and Philosophy at Chapman University seeks up to one two-year research associates (postdoctoral scholars), beginning in August 2020. Strong candidates in all areas will be considered. There is a preference for candidates with interests in the same areas as those of current members of the Faculty.
Research associates will be expected to teach one course per year. Candidates should have received their PhD (or equivalent) prior to beginning the position and should address in their cover letter how their research and teaching fit with the mission of the Smith Institute. We seek candidates with the ability to generate and publish research of the highest quality.
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue on a rolling basis until March 1st, 2020 or until all positions are filled. Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, writing sample, and three reference letters.
