We wish to appoint up to three Lecturers (equivalent to Assistant Professor) within the School of Economics and Finance. The School is part of Scotland's first university, with an established reputation as one of Europe's leading and most distinctive centres for research and teaching.

The School aims to deliver outstanding research and teaching in all areas of Economics and Finance and was ranked joint tenth in the UK in terms of research outputs in the Research Excellence Framework in 2014, first in the UK in the latest Guardian University Guide, second in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide and tenth in the UK for student satisfaction in the National Student Survey in 2019.

We seek to recruit Lecturers in all areas of Applied Microeconomics to further strengthen our position as a leading centre for research and teaching. We are particularly interested in candidates who work in labour, public finance, health, development, public policy, education, aging, and economic history. These appointments are part of a concerted effort to expand Applied Microeconomics at St Andrews, with further appointments to follow in 2020/21.
