The Department of Economics at San Diego State University invites applicants for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor in labor economics. The department’s strengths lie in applied microeconomic analysis of public policy and applied micro-econometrics. The successful candidate will have a promising applied microeconomic research agenda that will lead to regular publications in top scholarly journals, be able to teach courses at both the undergraduate and master’s levels and contribute to the Department’s public policy cluster. Candidates with research interests in the economics of immigration and a subfield in development economics are particularly encouraged. The position will begin in August 2020 and the successful candidate must have completed their PhD by August 20, 2020. Salary will be commensurate with experience and the California State University salary schedule. Advanced assistant professors with a strong record of scholarly publications are encouraged to apply.
