The Department of Economics and Finance of the J. Whitney Bunting College of Business at Georgia College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Economics beginning August 1, 2020. This is a ten-month, full-time, tenure-track faculty position with a normal three-three teaching load. This position will support the undergraduate economics major and the core business curriculum needs of our undergraduate programs. Primary teaching duties focus on principles and upper-level macroeconomics. The department values research collaboration with undergraduate students. A Ph.D. in economics is required before the effective date of employment. The willingness and expertise to teach money and banking, growth, comparative economics or economic history is a plus. An active scholarship program is required along with campus service. To carry out our public liberal arts mission, we seek faculty with the desire and ability to engage students as they launch their intellectual journey.
