The Department of Economics (https://www.lsu.edu/business/economics/) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin in Fall 2020. New and prospective PhDs, as well as senior Assistant Professors are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a solid research record or promise for development of a strong research agenda. The successful applicant will teach the first semester of graduate microeconomics using Advanced Microeconomic Theory by Jehle and Reny as the textbook. Interest in applied research is a plus. Junior candidates should have a Ph.D. in Economics by August 2020. The Department has a strong research orientation and offers B.A., B.S., M.S, and Ph.D. degrees in Economics. Interviews will be held at the ASSA meetings in San Diego between January 2 and 5. LSU is an Equal opportunity/equal access employer.
