Scope of Job
Applications are invited for one tenure-track position in Economics at the rank of Assistant Professor.
The Robert C. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship is AACSB-accredited at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and offers a Ph.D. in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Management, and Marketing.

1) a cover letter expressing the candidate’s interest in UTRGV
2) a job market paper
3) a CV that includes contact information for three references, and
4) graduate transcripts.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field by the beginning of Fall 2020. Applicants specializing in Empirical Microeconomics as applied to Health Economics, Labor Economics, Industrial Organization, Development Economics, or Environmental Economics, shall be considered.
Discipline Specific Required Qualifications
Candidates should be able to teach Econometrics and upper-level electives in their field in addition to core economics classes.
