The primary responsibilities of a Senior Researcher may include: applying quantitative research techniques to better understand the drivers of risk and return across and within financial markets; analyzing and developing new quantitative investment strategies; communicating this research clearly through writing and/or public speaking; and crafting these insights into market-impacting products. You should possess Ph.D. level training in financial economics, empirical asset pricing, or econometrics. Proficient programming and data management skills are needed. You should expect to collaborate with others on long-term research projects and possess strong teamwork skills, with the ability and desire to actively discuss both theories and empirical methods with the broad research team.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Work on directed projects in quantitative strategies assigned by the research team managers
• Publish articles in practitioner journals and present research at internal seminars and external conferences
• Assist in due diligence meetings to provide technical support to client facing team

Education and Experience:
• Ph.D. Degree in Finance, Economics, or other quantitative field
• Experience as research assistant to finance or economics professors helpful
• Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills
• Strong intuition of capital markets and theoretical investment concepts
• Team player and able to effectively and efficiently lead in a collaborative environment

We will conduct interviews with selected candidates at the 2020 AEA/AFA meetings.
