Job Description
The School of Public Economics and Administration (SPEA) at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) invites applications for full-time tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of public economics, taxation, investment, social security, public administration, or public policy beginning Fall 2020. Candidates should have a PhD or anticipate PhD completion by August 2020 in public economics, public finance and budgeting, public administration, public policy and related fields.

SUFE, founded in 1917, is considered among the top tier universities in for its academic excellence. SPEA is a top school in the area of public economics and finance in China. SPEA is a NASPAA accredited school and is the first Public Administration School in China to apply tenure-track system to recruit faculties.

We would welcome applicants across different research specializations. It is important that applicants demonstrate the capacity to establish a research agenda that will lead to scholarly publications. Successful applicants will be expected to teach one course in our international MPA program. In addition to producing quality scholarship and effective teaching, responsibilities will include participation in department, school and university service and related professional activities.

Job Requirements
Salary and benefits are competitive. The recruiting will continue until the position is filled. We will conduct interviews at the 2020 ASSA Annual Meeting at San Diego, CA (Jan. 3-5, 2020).
