The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Public Policy beginning in the 2020-21 academic year. The area of specialization is open, but the successful candidate should demonstrate a clear interest in science and technology policy issues, such as health related technology, computer and information technology, and engineering. The successful candidate will demonstrate potential for effective teaching at the undergraduate, masters and doctoral levels, a strong research agenda, and service to the university & community. Candidates with backgrounds that integrate science & engineering fields with the social sciences and humanities are encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in an appropriate field is required prior to the position start date. The Public Policy Department currently offers a B.S. in Public Policy, an M.S. in Science, Technology, and Public Policy, and supports RIT’s general education program.
