Monmouth College, a selective, private, residential liberal arts college in Illinois invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant or associate professor position in economics, with preference for expertise in International Economics, Development Economics, Macroeconomics, and/or similar field to begin August 2020. The ideal candidate will be an excellent teacher who enjoys teaching a range of economics courses and integrating knowledge from a variety of disciplinary perspectives in a liberal arts environment. A willingness to use learner-centered pedagogy and teach interdisciplinary general education courses is a plus. Ph.D. preferred but willing to consider other appropriate academic and professional qualifications.

Our business and economics department has a strong track record of graduating top U.S. business leaders, such as the current President of Morningstar. We have a strong, dedicated faculty who combine sound academic backgrounds, extensive hands-on business and economics, management and government experience, quantitative skills, law, and leadership to provide a quality education.
