Assistant Professor of Economics, full-time Tenure-Track, School of Economics and Business Administration

Description:
The Department of Economics at Saint Mary's College of California invites applications for one Tenure Track Professor at an Assistant level beginning AY 2020-21.

Responsibilities include teaching classes within our comprehensive B.A. and B.S. degrees. These have traditional principles, theory and application courses, some within concentrations in Sustainability and International and Development Studies. Furthermore, Main teaching responsibilities will include teaching introductory macro- and microeconomics courses offered within AACSB accredited, undergraduate business programs and some courses, as appropriate, in our similarly accredited, graduate business programs.

Qualifications:
Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in economics at the beginning of the Fall semester, 2020 and be committed to excellence in teaching while being actively engaged in scholarly pursuits. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and scholarly promise are required with the application. Candidates with a background and interest in teaching empirical methods to students completing projects for capstone courses and to serve as an advisor to these students, are particularly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate must also be committed to working in a culturally diverse and inclusive community of students and colleagues.
