The Economics Department is seeking a tenure track microeconomist at the assistant professor level beginning August 2020. The successful candidate is expected to have a strong background in microeconomic theory, develop a strong research program in applied microeconomics, provide excellent teaching, and supervise graduate student research. The primary teaching responsibility is Ph.D. microeconomic theory. This position is one of two assistant professor searches currently being conducted by the Department.

Minimum requirements:
A strong background in microeconomic theory; research that both develops and applies theoretical models; potential for research excellence; and a Ph.D. in Economics at the beginning of the appointment.

Preferred qualifications:
Evidence of research excellence in a field of applied microeconomics and teaching preparation or experience.
