We are a diverse and growing team of economists and statisticians, focused on machine learning and econometric modeling within JPMorgan Chase. We are searching for talented economists to join us in solving strategic problems through innovation and collaboration.

Examples of the problems you’d be working on include:
• Building econometric models to forecast deposits, fee revenue, and other business drivers
• Predicting how households and businesses respond to changing interest rates and economic conditions
• Building spatial models to optimize the coverage of Chase’s branch network
• Developing machine learning approaches to predict customer behavior

Your responsibilities will include:
• Working with large and complex datasets to solve challenging, business-critical problems
• Researching and developing forecasting methods, optimization techniques, and predictive models to support stress testing and strategic initiatives
• Communicating quantitative concepts and results to technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborating with team members to improve and automate processes

You should have a Ph.D. with a solid foundation in two or more of the following areas:
• Linear and non-linear statistical modeling
• Time-series and longitudinal data analysis
• Machine learning
• Econometric theory
• Large-scale optimization

You should also be proficient in R, Python, or Matlab.
