The Department of Applied Economics at HEC Montreal is seeking applications for standard tenure track appointments to begin June 2020 in the field of industrial organization.

The candidate must have a Ph.D. (or indication of imminent completion) and demonstrate excellence or clear promise of excellence in teaching and in research. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active program of research, teaching, graduate supervision, and service.

Candidates should note that although courses are taught mainly in French, there are also many courses in English and some in Spanish. Successful candidates are not expected to be able to teach in French before the start of the third year and are provided private lessons along with a teaching load reduction to achieve the required level of proficiency.
The Department of Applied Economics will be attending the ASSA meetings in San Diego.
