The Department of Economics in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies invites applications for a tenured position at the Associate Professor level to begin Fall 2020, with teaching and research interests in public economics. Candidates with research interests in all theoretical and applied areas of public economics are encouraged to apply. Such areas may include public goods, optimal taxation, general equilibrium with distortions, trade and the role of tariffs, program evaluation, tax policy, fiscal decentralization, tax evasion, transfer programs, and subsidies. The Department also welcomes theoretical and applied research on topics in broad, related fields such as health economics and education. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Economics or a related field.

The Andrew Young School is ranked among the top 20 policy schools in the area of Policy Analysis and has continued to add strength in a variety of fields. Applicants should provide a CV, and three suggested references. Candidates should also provide any representative work in progress that they currently have. All applications must be submitted through the American Economic Association’s Job Openings for Economists website (www.aeaweb.org/joe ). Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
