The Department of Economics at Rice University in Houston, TX anticipates having two positions at the Assistant Professor level: (1) one position in any field in economics and (2) one position in econometrics. Both positions will begin at the start of Rice’s 2020 academic year, July 1, 2020.

Assistant professors are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and perform research in their specialized areas. Therefore, candidates should show evidence of research excellence and a commitment to teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The minimum educational requirement is a Ph.D. in economics, which must be completed by July 1, 2020.
