Prysm Group is a global blockchain economics and governance advisory led by Harvard-trained PhD economists. Our clients include portfolio companies of venture capital firms, enterprises, and state and federal governments. Prysm Group also engages in public speaking and education: recent appearances include Consensus, SXSW, NBER, IBM, Microsoft, MIT, Berkeley, Stanford, DARPA, the Federal Reserve, and Harvard.
Prysm Group is looking for a full-time PhD economist to join its team in Fall 2019. Economists at Prysm Group work with the Founding Economists in roadmapping, auditing, and designing economic and governance systems for startups, enterprises, and public sector blockchain projects. They also engage in the firm’s public speaking, research, and education initiatives.
Economists may work from the firm's offices in New York or Los Angeles, or from the remote location of their choice with firm approval.
Qualifications
- PhD in Economics or a closely related field.
- Advanced knowledge (qualifying exams, advanced graduate coursework, or thesis research) in a field relevant to blockchain, such as contract theory, finance, market design, game theory, or monetary economics.
- Interest in the economics of technology, and in advising startup and enterprise projects.
