The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level beginning Fall 2020. Applicants from all fields are welcome to apply but some preference will be given to those with a field in international economics.

Outstanding teaching ability and enthusiasm for teaching in a liberal arts environment are essential, as is strong scholarly potential. Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to Trinity's general education curriculum (including the First-Year Experience) and various interdisciplinary or international initiatives. Some teaching experience is desirable.

This position carries a 3-3 teaching load with a full-salary one-semester research leave at the end of the third year, and start-up and travel funds. Our department faculty have active research agendas with generous sabbatical leaves for tenured faculty. Generally, economics faculty members have one or two preparations per semester. Tenure-track faculty are eligible for travel support and reimbursement of relocation costs within the University’s policies. All full-time appointments offer very competitive salaries and include full benefits.

All requirements for the Ph.D. must be completed by August 2020. Your application should include a cover letter, vitae, evidence of teaching effectiveness and three letters of reference.
