The Economics Department at Marquette University invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in Applied Microeconomics beginning Fall 2020. The successful candidate will have demonstrated research and teaching interests focusing on issues pertaining to underrepresented groups in areas like urban/regional, health, education, or environmental economics (JEL codes listed). Applicants must demonstrate strong empirical skills, a promising research agenda, and be committed to excellence in teaching at the graduate (MS in Applied Economics and MBA) and undergraduate levels. Applicants should state their interest and qualifications for teaching courses related to their research focus in a cover letter.

The department offers AACSB-accredited undergraduate and graduate (MSAE, MBA) degrees in Economics and Business. Teaching load is 2/2 in the first year and 3/2 thereafter, with possible course reductions related to research productivity. The candidate is expected to publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and perform service to the department, college, and university.
