The Business Economics group in the Finance Department in the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah seeks candidates for one full time career-line faculty (lecturer) position in Business Economics. A successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in economics (or a related field) and have expertise relevant for teaching undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in business economics.

Lecturers are non-tenure track faculty whose primary responsibility is teaching classes, recruiting and advising students, and monitoring their learning. Depending on experience, they may also conduct original research and serve on various departmental and college committees. The Business Economics faculty members at the David Eccles School are highly research active and well networked in academia and industry. Opportunities for the lecturing faculty to collaborate in research studies and practice-oriented student projects are abundant. Depending on experience, lecturers can hold the rank of instructor, assistant professor, associate professor or professor. The David Eccles School of Business is a world-class business school with a rich history of excellence in education and research. The Business Economics group currently teaches core and elective classes in the Quantitative Analysis of Markets and Organizations undergraduate major, as well as in the business school’s MBA and PhD programs.
