The Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago invites applications for a full-time Lecturer to expand its course and programmatic offerings in international development and international policy. The position will be a two-year, renewable appointment. The Lecturer will teach four to six courses per academic year, depending on non-classroom responsibilities.

Specific course offerings can be tailored to the strengths of well-qualified applicants, with the possibility for highly-specialized electives. Possible courses include: translating evidence for international policy and program design; humanitarian intervention; behavioral science and development policy; ethics in international development; women, peace and security; local participation and community development; program financing, implementation and management; monitoring and evaluation; technology and innovation in development; international organizations; advocacy and legislation in international policy and development. Specific course offerings and design will be determined in collaboration with academic and administrative leadership.

Applicants will be evaluated on experience in bridging the gap between theory and practice in the international development sphere and on teaching/instruction experience.
