At HDR, we specialize in engineering, architecture, environmental and construction services. We are currently in need of a Principal Economist in our Washington DC office. Will be responsible for developing and managing new work opportunities related to economics, finance, performance-based planning, and decision support. Will work within a larger practice to coordinate work assignments and expand the economics and finance related services that HDR provides to existing and new clients. Additional responsibilities include conducting economic modeling, benefit-cost analysis, economic impact analysis, risk analysis, financial analysis, policy analysis, performance-based planning and decision support methods, proposal writing, client interaction and development, and special financial, economic, and statistical studies related to infrastructure projects. be involved in the financing and development of roads, transit, freight rail, water, and airport projects and may participate in all phases of the project lifecycle—planning, procurement, contract negotiations and financial close, and operations and maintenance.
