Job Duties:
The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate and maintain a commitment to teaching. Applicants are expected to be versatile, with an ability and willingness to teach a variety of economics courses. The candidate will also have to produce scholarly research and participate in service activities appropriate for the candidate’s given rank. Individuals applying for this position may have teaching and research interests in any area of economics. Applicants must be willing to teach evening and online courses if assigned.

Required Qualifications:
An earned doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Economics. ABD in Economics will also be considered. For the Associate/Full level, the candidate must demonstrate a record of high quality scholarly publications and an active research stream.

Texas A&M International University, located in Laredo, Texas offers BBA, MBA, and Ph.D. programs in its business school with special emphasis on topics in international business. The base salary is consistent with comparable AACSB-accredited public research universities. There are also opportunities for competitive summer research grants and summer teaching assignments. The A.R. Sanchez School of Business is an AACSB accredited institution and is the editorial home of The International Trade Journal and The International Journal of e-Collaboration.
